More info and Purchasing

The Pyredoodle pups are $1000 each and that includes:

  • all scheduled de-wormings
  • first set of shots (5-way) at 6 weeks
  • we do not remove dew claws – nor should they be (see link).

Eight weeks is the earliest we let them go IF thriving and 100% in every way — eating well. You can visit the pups and their parents in North Phoenix, Arizona if you like.  We handle the pups several times daily and hand feed them; they live in our home and they will likely be paper trained by 8 weeks and use a water bottle.  Pups will be significantly weaned off and eating “Taste of the Wild” meat-based kibbles at age 5.5 weeks.  We usually ship via Delta or American.

We keep a waiting list because puppy availability will come as nature permits.  A non-refundable deposit of $500 will keep your slot established until the pup of your preference becomes available.

Air cargo is an added cost of about $280 for the fare, PLUS about $55 for a new medium crate (#200) with water container and a bowl of food in case the flight gets delayed.  Add $45 for a vet’s flight certificate.  If 2 pups fly together, there is no added cost and you can split the fare with another owner.  When we know that you want a puppy, we will often run an ad in the metro closest to you; this allows you to split the fare.  We take PayPal payments AFTER pups are 1 week and older, doing well.  Hopefully, one party will want to buy the kennel — or you could flip a coin for it.

UNDER SEAT:  More and more of our folks are flying to PHX and taking their pup right back with them using a “Sherpa” brand pet kennel for airlines.  Done without going through “cargo”, there is no need for a vet certificate or buying a larger crate.

Feel free to call us during reasonable Mountain Time hours at 406.465.4890 if you’d like to reserve a puppy from the next litter. This number takes texts also.

Hi! I was wondering about how much the pups shed. I am not looking to buy immediately but within the next few years and your site looks the most promising as far as quality and the temperament of the parents go.

      Hi Lorey:

Pyredoodles typically look a bit like an Old English Sheepdog if not trimmed. They are like bear cubs as pups and do not shed at all. I have heard that there is a spectrum in the range of shedding depending on whether the poodle trait was dominant or not. Our Pyrenees sheds twice each year: Spring and August – big mess if you don’t brush her out at the first sign. Doodles will benefit from going to the groomer monthly – or do it yourself Some do shed a bit when Winter breaks. Having the coolest dog in town will make that a non-issue.

We will send you a note when the next babies arrive.

      Thanks

Does this breed make a good service dog for a child? I love the Pyre but wasn’t sure of the mix?

Yes! My wife is a therapist and really likes the breed for canine therapy. There is a broad range in their temperaments, most would be very suitable. We can give you our opinion on the next litter due this month. Jann Stewart can be reached @ 406 465 4890. Thank You.

We will have to ship with a layover at night due to heat. Could be a late flight.

Deposit is $200 with the balance of $500 plus shipping costs due before shipping.

Call Jann at 406.465.4890 for info.

Love the way you carefully raise these pups and their parents. The point that says they should not have dew claws removed is a bit confusing as neutering is in the same sentence. Are you alright with the puppy being neutered when we take him home? We would love to have a male in 2015-16 but we would much rather a puppy on a non-breeding contract. We spend a lot of time outdoors (In British Columbia, Canada) so we’d hate for our dog to run off after an unsuspecting female!
Thanks again for leading by example in the way your treat your animals.

Hello! Thanks for the kind words.

Jan had knee surgery, so I’m sorry for responding late.

Song’s pups will be available in Sept. Still interested? See our site for all updates and info.

      Neutering is needful sometimes.

Cloud, our male, has throws color that cannot be predicted. He has an apricot mother and a black father – somehow he came out white!

Regarding guarantees, if your vet can inform us that one of our pups is not maturing into a healthy dog due to something serious, we will replace that pup at no charge from a future little or refund your money. It has not happened yet, though our parents have had some thirty pups so far.

        Thank you for contacting us!

      Sorry for the late reply.

Last year was good and bad. The good part is that Song did have a litter late in 2016, but lost a litter midway through gestation earlier in the year. Took the fun out of things – in more than one way. The vet said, “These things happen”, but could offer no explanation as to why.

As a result, we got a young adult female named Gigi. She’s smaller and will likely have pups that grow to about 80 pounds. She is preggers now and due April 10th. Dad is Cloud, our Standard Poodle. This is her first litter.

      Thanks for your interest!

Flight cost info is on the site. But lots of folks spend $150 or so and fly round-trip with a pup under the seat; we meet at the airport. Allegiant is a great airline for that. Makes for a long day, though.

      Thanks for your interest!

We had Pyrenees dogs for 25 years to guard our sheep. We sold our ranch and hope to adopt a pyredoodle to be able to spend more time with us indoors and out. Looking for a companion for our 3 cats who miss their big dog friend and protector. The final dog died this spring and we feel a big hole in our lives.

Hi, Charlene. We would love to provide a puppy for you and your cats. Interestingly, one of our females is defending a home that’s off the grid in Montana where bears, wolves, and cougars are a perennial issue. I hope you’ll reach out to my wife at 406.465.4890. Best Regards.

A new litter will be ready for delivery for the Holidays. In the cool weather, cargo works fine or you can fly round trip with a pup under the seat.

Hello, Suzanne. This is Jim and Jan in N Phoenix. The puppies have been going for $1000. They are getting big and I’m willing to negotiate on the price because they need their families. We have three boys. Here is the link to photographs that we just took this afternoon. The 20 mile an hour winds made them a bit nervous as they have not been out of the house yet. Each set of pictures is separated by a photograph of the blanket. That way we can talk about which puppy you like the most. However, please know that they are going to go quickly as we are in communication with two other parties.
