PyreDoodle Puppies

All 8 pups are set to go to their new families.  Their eye are just starting to open, so it fun to watch them start to romp with each other on tottering legs.

We have been putting the runt on the back teats so she has caught up in size to the others.  She (Julie on the video) is going to Aubrey in Shepherd, MT.  

We have a busy weekend, but will have a new video up by Tuesday, July 15th.

For the first time, Song has taken a nap away from the puppies.  They are 10 days old and cuddled up in a big ball of puppiness.  Song is snoring under her favorite piece of furniture for the moment.  

   She had a rawhide this afternoon and did the strange “happy dance” where she kicks her back feet out like a calf.  Very cute, but we have never gotten it on film.  

   Thank you for your deposits.  Still have Pepper left.  She is a serious-minded puppy who will make a great “home defender” as the Pyrenees temperament is strong in her.

This video has all 8 puppies with the names we have given them.  Only Pepper is more assertive; the rest have similar personalities.  All are sweet.

All eight puppies are doing great. Song is always frantic to get back to them; it’s very sweet.

Only 4 females are left so get back to us quickly to reserve your puppy.

Song is in pre-labor.  We will be up late tonight.

Her temp dropped 24 hours ago to 99.8.  Now she is 98.7 and uncomfortable at 8:30 pm Mountain Time.

Song’s milk has come in so we are braced  for a long night.  Sorry to have estimated to have puppies too early.  She will have a trim and a bath this afternoon.  Next post will be about puppies!

We are hoping for Song to have a litter in June; will let you know.

Beverly is all alone and misses her siblings terribly.  She is set to fly on United to Lubbock, Texas early on Saturday morning.  Until she gets a buddy to spend the day with, she will be a sorrowful girl.

The sweetest of the puppies, Beverly, is left.  She was our favorite from the start since she is totally cuddly.  Cleo has gone to Lincoln, MT this afternoon to a couple who live out in the woods; she’s the toughest of them all and will thrive in the forest on the Continental Divide.

We are on the fence about keeping Bev or letting her go to a good family who wants a more sensitive dog.  With four dogs already, it will be harder to give her the training and time that she will want to become the best dog she can be.

Here is a locally-owned male from the last litter between Hannah and Starbux – the owner is 6 feet tall.
